While preparing for an unexpected trip, I realized how bad my roots were. I didn’t have much time, so I reached for my Clairol Nice ‘N Easy Root Touch-Up kit to quickly color my roots! It applies so easily that I had it on in minutes, packed while it was processing and then rinsed it out, dried my hair, and I was ready to go. The color blended seamlessly and left my hair super soft and super shiny! I am absolutely thrilled with the results! The smell is not overwhelming, the application is super easy, and the results were perfection! Thank you Clairol for inventing a product that is quick and easy to used and saves me a trip to the hairdresser! And thank you BzzAgent for giving me the opportunity to try it for free! Love it!

After The Holidays and Into The New Year

It’s been a long time since I was able to post on here.  After a very difficult Christmas, where I lost my Grandfather on Christmas Year, I am finally getting my life back on track.

There have been many new and exciting things that have been occurring that I would love to share with you.

Every year, La Roche-Posay offers a program to 100 Canadian families throughout Canada.  This year, we were lucky enough to have been one of the chosen ones.  I will be blogging our journey throughout the year, so you will be able to follow along with us.

I was also asked to write blog posts for a company, (name to follow), which is both exciting and scary at the same time.  I’ve also been invited to review a few products, so those posts are going to be coming along shortly.

We are now approaching the end of January.  I didn’t set goals for the New Year, instead making healthy choices that I will certainly be able to make happen for not just myself, but my family as well.

Having a family that includes a 14 yr old daughter and a 12 yr old son, life is busy, and is certainly interesting, to say the least.  I will be blogging on the challenges that we are facing, and the many that are yet to come, as well as including many links to expert advice for dealing with teens in a healthy way (I’M certainly not an expert!).

I would love to see my number of followers increase and I hope that you will tell all of your friends, especially if you enjoy what you are reading.

I wish you all well, and am excited for the challenges that will be occurring in the days and months to come!  Wish me luck…  😛

Twitter Parties

Several weeks ago, if you had asked me  what a ‘Twitter Party’ was, I would have had no idea.  I stumbled across one by mistake, the President’s Choice day long party, and decided to participate.  I had so much fun!  It was amazing to meet new people, learn new tips and recipes, and interact with a ton of different medias, including Chatelaine, Cityline, and Breakfast Television from one coast to another.  There were prizes to be won by interacting and answering questions.  I stayed all day and had a blast!  I was also lucky enough to win a prize!  Now that I know how much fun these parties are, I actually look for some to participate in and enjoy.  I attended one last week hosted by YMC (Yummy Mummy Club), @YMCbuzz, which is a great site from Erica Ehm.  Again, tons of fun!  Tomorrow I am attending a Twitter Party put on by , hosted by .  I am looking so forward to this and have to say, for anyone who has never been to a twitter party, give it a try!  You’ll love it!

Anyone who has been blogging for a while will tell you that the content grows and changes with you. When I was pregnant with my son, I was profiling maternity stores. When we were renovating I was profiling home decor shops.

Around the time my son was born in 2011 I started really paying attention to style blogging. I was already supplementing store profiles with some trend collages but style blogging particularly spoke to me at this time in my life because I really didn’t want to fall into the trap of sweat pants and spit up stained tees. Participating in this genre has done great things for my confidence, my closet and my ability to mix a print.

One thing that style blogging has particularly grown my appreciation for is the statement necklace. And I am so pumped to be giving away $50 to shop at Toronto based online retailerJewlz from Lineve. You can see one of their fab necklaces in my Birthday gifs!
